Purpose: To care for all the property of the congregation both real and personal. Keep all properties clean and in good repair, and secure personnel and contractors as may be needed in consultation with the Session. Provide for the decorating, equipping and furnishing of the church facilities. Overall, see that the facility is adequate for the program and ministry needs of the congregation.
Membership: At least two members of the Session and not fewer than three members of the congregation.
Duties:

Provide for the regular maintenance of the church plant and grounds and for maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment within the limits of the committee’s budget without Session approval for specific items.

Seek Session approval for any major projects.

See that church facilities and grounds are kept clean and attractive.

Supervise the custodian in cooperation with the Personnel Committee

Organize and involve members in regular church work days

See that the property is sufficiently insured.

Open building for special occasions.

Present a budget each year to the Stewardship and Finance Committee.

Project maintenance schedules and repair costs for all buildings and equipment owned by the church and report these projections to the Stewardship and Finance Committee of the Session for budget planning.

Serve as liaison for non-church groups using our facilities, making sure all requests are approved by the Session and then added to the church calendar.

Supervise any lending of church furnishings or materials.
